The Afghan Whigs Rock David Letterman

The Afghan Whigs

The Afghan Whig’s new album, ‘Do To The Beast’, is their first album in over a decade and a half. From their founding in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1988, the band has always stood out with their blend of hard rock and classic soul. The Afghan Whig’s newest album celebrates their return to music as well as their success over the past thirty years. After the band’s split in 2001, lead singer Greg Dulli had a few side projects with his bands, The Twilight Singers and The Gutter Twins. Fast forward eleven years, and The Afghan Whigs reunited for a successful 2012 tour and sold out prestigious venues throughout the U.S. and Europe. Although the band thought that was the last time they would be playing together, they were unexpectedly reunited for a second time to perform a surprise set with Usher at SXSW in 2013. Back and better than ever, The Afghan Whigs are currently touring worldwide in support of ‘Do To The Beast’.

The Afghan Whigs recently performed their new song, “Matamoros”, on Late Show with David Letterman. Watch their performance below!
