The Blow Takes New Material On Tour

The Blow, the pop-savvy collaboration of musician Khaela Maricich and conceptual artist Melissa Dyne, is hitting the road this summer for some U.S. tour dates. The band is currently at work on its latest full-length album, and audiences will get a first listen of some new music at these upcoming shows. Dyne, who thrives on conceptual installation and sound design as her artistic emphasis, will incorporate experimental light manipulation, acoustic phenomena and narrative performance elements, while Maricich onstage will sing, strut and share stories, possibly of Lindsay Lohan.

The pair has just put out a video teaser called “Ask Me (Demo Version),” intended to be a demo for the new album. The video features a seated Maricich, popping on headphones and dangerously high heels while she listens to the new track in front of a waterfront backdrop. Much like the big-beat and pop-vocal track itself, it’s an exercise in understated seduction. Check it out below.
