slenderbodies
Slenderbodies writes songs for you to experience like a blanket or a warm breeze of equatorial air. The California based duo met while attending a University and cametogether as a creative force 3 years later. The two wrote, recorded and produced their debut album “sotto voce” over the span of a month and 380 miles. The result was an emotionally impactful, sonically soft collection of songs, with intricate airy guitarwork complemented by gentle vocals and present drums. With vivid imagery at at the forefront of vocal waves, the duo paints portraits of siren songs, sultry nights with foreign lovers, lost romance and home. Almost a year following, they have returned with fabulist, the surreal story of two entwined souls, drawn out to sea together.
Lola Marsh
Lola Marsh
Lola Marsh is a fresh indie-Pop bandwhosemusic combines on-the-sleeve-lyrics and deep warm harmonies. They first made waves after a much-discussed performance at Primavera Sound in 2014, influential L.A. radio station KCRW called “incredible,” adding that Yael was “clearly meant for the stage". The band gainedimmediateindustry attractionand they quickly joined forces with United Talent Agency (USA & Europe), UniversalMusic(Europe)and Sony ATV.“Sirens,”their first single, debuted in March 2015; it quickly received a million streamsand reached #5 on Spotify’s list of the Top 10 Most Viral Tracks in U.S.Their second single, “You’re Mine”,garnered 8millions plays on Spotify and landed in the service’s top 3 Most Viral Tracks as well as in the top 3 of Hype Machine’s Most Popular Tracks ranking. In January 2016 their awaited debut EP was released via Anova Music under exclusive license to Barclay records (Universal France). Later that year, they teamed up with Madsonik and wrote "Drift and Fall Again" the main theme from Criminal's original motion picture soundtrack. It wasn't long till the band dominated stages at big-named European festivals including Primavera Sound, Pohoda, Exit, Dockville, Pukkelpop, Montreaux, FNAC&intensively toured Europe.Following their breakthrough success, their debut album ‘Remember Roses‘ was released in June2017.The leading single ‘Wishing Girl’ became a Spotify favorite, charted the top 40 German radio chart and was featured in an Ebay commercial.
Jeremy Loops
Jeremy Loops
Jeremy Loops arrived on South Africa’s music scene with an unexpected commercial force, debuting at No. 1 on iTunes in 2014 with his debut album, Trading Change, topping radio charts, and quickly developed a cult following in his homeland. The album wouldgo gold in South Africa, be crowned Album of the Year by iTunes SA, and win multiple awards including MTV Africa’s Best Alternative Album 2015. An environmentalist and avid traveller, Loops’ natural urge to explore unknown physical spaces extended to his music too, and soon he prioritised touring Europe and North America to test how universal his music really is.A cult live followingreplicating that in South Africa quickly emerged in Britain, Germany, the Netherlands, and Switzerland, with Trading Change charting in each nation. A support tour opening for Twenty One Pilots on their Blurry Face Tour came in quick succession, as did a sold out 30,000 ticket European headline tour of his own. With Trading Change being well-received, it was the live shows that won international audiences over. Relentless touring from early 2014 to the end of 2016 laid the foundation for the next level. In early 2017 Loops entered studio with Jake Gosling (James Bay, Lady Gaga, Shawn Mendes) and later that year with Will Hicks (Ed Sheeran, Lilly Allen, Bastille) to record his follow up album. Waves, the first single from the currently untitled project, is a woozy summer song, with Loops’ signature guitar licks, vocal turns, and ear for melody over world class contemporary production. The stakes are different now. His reach is further, his collaborators more accomplished, the opportunity is greater, and an expectant audience is anticipating new material. If Waves and The Shore are anything to go by, here’s a maturing, sophisticated musician preparing to see out his vision of taking his music global.
