ROOFTOP FILMS PRESENTS
JUNE 19TH IN NYC WITH PERFORMANCE BY JOSÉ GONZÁLEZ
“Junip allowed itself to get caught up in the momentum built into its cerebral constructions, to let the rhythm drive motion, to make the songs crest and breathe and crest again.” – The New York Times
“Classical guitar and weightless tenor float over soul jazz, Afro-beat, Ethiopian funk and krautrock,
and the lyrics touch on spirituality and self-realization.” – Rolling Stone
Junip just wrapped up a thirty-two-date North American spring tour in Boston on May 22nd, with sold out shows on both coasts including New York and Seattle. The tour saw the band play live studio sessions with KEXP (Seattle) and KUT (Austin), and perform at the 11th Annual NON-COMMvention, alongside Bright Eyes, Justin Townes Earle, and the Civil Wars. A big deal in radio, the convention draws primarily influential public, adult-alternative radio stations and their programmers together. Junip also hooked up with The Wilcox Sessionsin LA for an exclusive performance and recorded a session at the Moog Sound Lab in Asheville, both coming soon.
Junip will be back stateside on June 12th to play Bonnaroo, a string of dates in Florida, and Celebrate Brooklyn! on June 17th with The Books and Doveman. On June 19th New York City’s Rooftop Films will host the film The Extraordinary Ordinary Life of José González, a 74 minute, beautiful and radically intimate documentary about the life and mind of musician José González. Mikel Cee Karisson and Fredrik Egerstrand direct the film that takes place during the making of González’s second album In Our Nature. The special evening includes a performance by González Q&A with the filmmakers. Click HERE for more information and tickets.

MOOGERFOOGER MF-102 RING MODULATOR DESCRIPTION: The MF-102 Ring Modulator is a direct descendant of the original Moog modular synthesizers. It contains three complete modular functions: a ring modulator, a voltage-controlled carrier oscillator, and voltage-contolled dual-waveform LFO. It can be used to process any instrument-level to line-level signal. Housed in a rugged steel and hardwood enclosure, the Moogerfooger’s timeless good looks, versatility, and exceptional sound quality is designed to be equally at home on stage or in the studio. Their expansive functionality combined with warm, analog sound come from their state-of-the-art all-analog circuitry, designed and built under Bob Moog’s personal direction. Musical, flexible, playable, and durable Moogerfoogers are the secret weapons of top players and producers everywhere.
ABOUT MOOG MUSIC: When Bob Moog invented the Moog synthesizer in 1964 he revolutionized popular music. His creations touched thousands of lives as synthesizers gained acceptance in the music world and became the catalyst for new forms of sonic expression. Although he passed away in 2005, Moog’s spirit lives on with Moog Music, a company he originally formed in 1954 under the name R.A. Moog. Moog Music is still producing technologically groundbreaking instruments that help create music that could not otherwise exist without them. Located in Asheville, NC where Bob Moog spent much of his later life, Moog Music continues to be the leading producer of synthesizers, analog musical instruments, effects pedals and the innovative Moog Guitar & Moog Lap Steel.
