Can’t wait another two weeks for new Crocodiles’ music? You’re in luck; the San Diego-based duo has just released a free instrumental EP, Fires Of Comparison. Get it here. This EP should tide you over until the release of the band’s sophomore full-length, Sleep Forever, which is due out September 14 through Fat Possum. Made with Simian Mobile Disco’s James Ford (who has also produced Arctic Monkeys, Klaxons and Florence And The Machine), Sleep Forever follows Crocodiles’ buzzy 2009 debut, Summer of Hate.

With all this new music to show off, the band is hitting the road to play 16 American dates, starting with a September 17 set at Las Vegas’ Neon Reverb Festival. Crocodiles then has dates scheduled through October and November, including a set at Austin’s Fun Fun Festival on November 7. Though just a duo on album, Crocodiles will play these live dates with its newly assembled five-person lineup.
