Fred (formerly of McVeigh and I Am Existence) and Alex (formerly Smoke Spot, Hidden Treehouses, and Weeded) started jamming together in January of 2016, hashing out the first couple of songs before recruiting Fred's long-time friend Mike Janssen to play bass. They quickly crafted a 5 song set, recording a rough-and-tumble EP to capture their energetic live sound and released it as Heart to Hate in May of 2016.
